I’m a passionate freelance developer.

Hello, I am Adam Scott, a designer and web developer based in Nashville, TN. I specialize in creating modern and functional websites along with effective marketing campaigns that help businesses thrive.

My background is in marketing, specifically in the music industry where I was the head of marketing at an independent record label.  At the label I oversaw the design of all of our releases’ artwork and promotional material.  In addition, I oversaw all of the online marketing efforts including the design of our corporate website, the artists’ websites, MySpace and Facebook pages and any an all digital media campaigns we ran.

A few years ago I decided to add to my online marketing skills by learning the design skills to design and develop websites.  Little did I know that I would become so immersed in web design that it is now my passion!  I am well versed in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and Javascript.   I am self-taught and everything I know I learned through trial-and-error as well as observing others. As a result my designs are unique and I am constantly implementing the latest techniques and trends.

Note: I recently started learning Ruby and Ruby on Rails so that I can develop full web applications.

So please take a look around my site, check out my portfolio for a look at some of my latest work, read more about the services I offer and see what I have to say on my blog.

I think that design is an integral part of any business’s marketing efforts. I love being able to take a company’s initial ideas and create something that really helps to define their online presence.”
